I got a bit sick after yesterday’s endless wandering in the Austrian rain, so for today is a close-up of the sleeping Cat.

The Cat had her stitches removed today. She almost killed the vet during the procedure, hissing and biting like a rattlesnake. Our cat is more of a werewolf than of a teddy bear, and since she isn’t in pain anymore, she seems to be her good old self again.

I was sort of late with taking today’s photo. Since my camera doesn’t tolerate dusk very well, the most appropriate title for the picture would be “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

The Cat, drowning in the sea of blankets. Yesterday, after four days of tireless attempts she finally managed to get rid of the collar. It wasn’t easy but she tried hard, persisted and won the game.  She used her 30 seconds before being noticed by us for pulling out one of the sutures. If I will be half so active at the age of 85 as she now, at the equivalent age of almost 17, is, I will call myself very, very lucky.

And that’s the way I use my computer mouse today.

My poor old sweetie.

Poor Cat, finally out of the cupboard, wearing her surgery collar and looking for comfort. Photo courtesy of my sister.

Poor Cat had her leg surgery today. She is in a miserable state, hiding in the cupboard behind the vacuum cleaner. It’s heartbreaking.

For today is a close-up of Móricka, looking like a small owl sleeping on a branch.

The Cat, peering through the grates of the carrier and hating the world.

A walk to the vet’s practice to borrow a cat carrier for tomorrow morning, when The Cat has her leg appointment to see if she is strong enough to get her tumour removed (she is sixteen years old now, so her heart status needs to be seriously discussed). I think there is no reason to be worried. She will survive us all. The only (quite disturbing) question is how to get her into the basket. She is not enthusiastic about travelling at all.
